Hi everybody!
I have finished my first piece. My format for this year will be 2 inches circles that will be made into covered buttons. I use the Dritz half-dome buttons. I learned about beaded buttons from Robin Atkins: she has a very good tutorial on her blog. For reference, I use Robin's books and a book Robin as co-authored with Amy Clarke(Beaded Embellishment) and for inspiration, I use all of Robin's books! I am planning to use a different technique with each button I make.
My January button is entitled "Celestial halos". The beading has been done on a black cotton backed with acid-free paper, using backstitch and double-needle couching.
