I have posted (I know I'm late) all of my stars for 2012 on my blog. I finished them in in spring and just haven't blogged about them.

Double Infinity's little jar for March
My eleven year old daughter is trying to get involved in my projects lately, so even before March 1st arrived, she opened my box with the remaining 10 lampwork inspiration beads in it and made her choice for March. Her BFF's birthday is 3/11 so she picked one that looked 'celebratory and fun'. We then moved on to the seed beads and the colors were selected. (I helped a bit more than she would like because, after all, I'm the one who does the beading and who will have to look at the jars form my beading table!) The supplies sat on their little tray for many weeks, but now I am happy to say the jar is completed. The colors actually remind me of Mardi Gras, and since Easter is in March this year, you could even say it fits into that scheme. I can say how happy I am with the way the little piece on the cork top turned out. I finally got one to lay flat! And I love how I put the larger 6's on their side. My daughter is already asking to 'open the box' to pick out April's inspiration, but I told her she has to wait! See you all next month.....
Birthday Muse
For my birthday on January 22 I received Thom Atkins' book Beading Artistry for Quilts and I was inspired to work (play) some more on my stars for 2012's BJP. By February 22 I had finished two more stars. I will post photos on my blog. I made the trip last year to LaConner Quilt museum to see Thom's work and was awestruck. I took lots of photos but we all know that viewing a piece in person tells a different story than photos. This book is full of inspirational photos and some sage advice.I highly recommend it. Thanks Thom.
Here are parts of the two stars I have finished and I have another in progress and so many ideas that I don't know sometimes where to start....so on to beading...Vickie

2012 Complete.
Here are my final two beaded rocks for the year...Better late than never.....
I haven't truely decided what I going to do next. Maybe more beaded rocks. Kind of hate to be completely finished with them... and I do have many more rocks that I could use. LOL .We'll just have to wait and see. It has been wonderful to see all the talent on this blog. Thanks for all the sharing :)

bjp 1212 - symphony in blue
I'm more than a little blue to be ending this series, but am certainly looking forward to starting on 2013! How about the rest of you? This piece was finished in December, but I didn't get a chance to take photos until a couple of weeks ago. Then Blogger updated something and I couldn't post photos for some reason. Grrrr!!!! I eventually figured out a workaround, so all is now good!
If you're interested in seeing more photos and reading the story, please wander on over to my blog.
I will miss my little houses though!!

2012 Finished
I completed my Dec piece last week on Jan 10, but we traveled this past weekend and I didn't have the time to post it. So, now, here it is:
I used blue, green, and silver for the holiday colors, Chanukah, Christmas, and a bit of sparkle. The charms start at the top with LIVE. Life is so short and we never know how much time we have, so it's important to live life to its fullest. Below that one is a ship to represent our December trip to the Galapagos Islands, a dream trip if there ever was one. It was fantastic and everything I could have wanted it to be. We were on a power catamaran (no cat charms) with only 8 cabins, and the guests on our cruise totaled 13. This is a trip I've been wanting to take for over 30 years and now was the time!
The other two charms obviously are for the two major holidays during December; of course there are others, but those are the ones I choose. Also, I used bells in the center to add a bit of whimsy.
Now 2012 is complete and on to January 2013.

So I have finally taken pictures of my 2012 year. I decided to just photo them all together, well six monthas at a time. So if you are interested in seeing them they are here and on my blog. Now on to 2013, see you there! (Oh, in case you wondered, the only one of these critters that was not in my yard was of course the swan, she was in the lake behind us.) The porky that stars in December, tried to come in the house one night. It was just awfully cold and the wind was awful, so I don't blame him/her for wanting in.

Here is a close up of the beading I did for December. I have really enjoyed participating in this project this year. I am pleased with the twelve pieces I have completed. Thanks! Angela
